Owner, Mark Anastas had always dreamed of someday opening a surf shop in Southern Maine.  After working in a shop in Palm Beach Florida Mark came home to make his dream a reality.  He just needed to add “Liquid”.  Born in the spring of 1996 Liquid Dreams opened it’s doors in Ogunquit, Maine and quickly became Maine’s largest surf shop.  Mark’s goal was to provide local surfers and visitors the best surfing gear at the best prices with a friendly attitude.  The staff at Liquid Dreams is made up of local surfers that pride themselves on having the most knowledge of  surfing and surfing equipment on the Maine coast.  Bottom line….. We love surfing…it’s just what we do.

Surfing in New England is a year round sport and Liquid Dreams doors are open 12 months a year for all your surfing needs.  From 6mm winter wetsuits to bikini’s and suncare for the traveler we have got you covered.  We will even help plan your next tropical adventure as long as you take us with you.  (Just Kidding!!)

After 8 successful years in Ogunquit, Mark and his wife Rachel decided to open a second location on Long Sands Beach in York, Maine.  It is one of very few surf shops on the east coast with direct beach and water access.  Making it great if your looking to rent a surfboard or take a surf lesson.  Both shops carry all the latest surfing gear and clothing for both men, women and children.  The York location is also unique in that it serves food.  We have ice cream, fruit smoothies, tacos, wraps, burritos, Italian Ice and other treats to help you fuel up for your next session.
